The Five Door Method · Door 01

Platform

Are we on the right platform?

Before anything else, we check whether your marketing is running where your buyers actually are.

The first door is the most often skipped: is the platform itself right for the service you're selling? A homeowner looking for recurring maid service behaves differently than a facilities manager vetting a janitorial contract, and exterior work has its own season and search behavior. Campaigns running on the wrong platform, or the wrong campaign type for the job, waste budget before any other variable gets a chance to matter.

If your platform doesn't match your offer, your creative won't save you. And your ROI will suffer, fast.

The questions

Three questions that settle the platform

  • Where is your customer when they need you, searching, or scrolling?
  • How do people usually find a company like yours: word of mouth, directories, or social discovery?
  • Does the platform match the urgency and the visual appeal of the service you are actually selling?
Symptoms

What a closed door looks like

  • Budget is spread across channels no one can explain

  • Campaigns keep running because they've always run

  • No one can say which platform produces which kind of lead

The inspection

What we examine

  1. 01Where your buyers actually search and scroll, service by service
  2. 02Which campaign types fit each service you sell
  3. 03Whether budget allocation matches where your buyers are
Worth knowing

A few things we've learned at this door

Platform is not a set-and-forget decision. Markets shift, neighborhoods change, and the ad platforms change with them, what worked in July may not hold in December. Door 1 is one we walk back through, not a box we tick once.

A multi-platform plan is not the same thing as running the same ad everywhere and hoping. Each platform has a job in the funnel, and problems start when one is asked to do another one's work.
